You may have remembered that I lost my job (store closure) a while ago. Well, I got back on with the same company again since I couldn't find another job (recession sucks) and it was pure misery. It just wasn't the same, but worse. I quit. I was tired of killing myself for the ungrateful, greedy bastards.
Finally, after years of being poked and prodded to get on with a certain company, I finally did. All I can say is that I should have done this long ago. It's so nice to see over $100K a week in sales (meat only). Rather than focusing on shrink, we focus on customers and having a good time cutting meat. I had gotten so tired of being beat-down about shrink and petty bull**** that didn't have anything to do with sales, I didn't know how to act when I walked into this opportunity. I've met many more great meat cutters and really nice customers.
It sucks to start over, but I'm progressing quickly. One old school cutter that's been nagging me for a while now about switching companies should be getting his referral bonus soon. I know I should have listened, but the money was too good at the time. It finally came to the point where the money wasn't worth the pain. At least I'm happy again!
