What do they do with the recalled meat? Cremate it? Bury it?

That's the problem with tube grind from huge slaughterhouses. The process in getting the meat from the bone is horrible. The tube could have meat from 100 animals in it. It's undergone high pressure treatments that raise the temperature, then it receives a chlorination bath, then it's irradiated and finally forced into a tube with yet another high pressure treatment. Prepackaged grind from the supplier is disgusting and dangerous. What happened to the good old days of grinding from your primals and in house trim? You never had these recalls back then. Only within the last 15-20 years have these huge beef recalls occured.
