what about the customers that buzz you to ask a question then they act like they know everything and you know nothing about your own job that help out at all?
bigdawgjesse, when I was a young cutter for A&P, the old heads put me out on the case on Sat afternoon at 1 O'clock to start getting rid of all the meat I could, in those days Stores closed on Sunday and you didn't need to carry over a lot of product. When I first started doing this I had a old head tell me, Son, IF you let those women think they know more about meat than you do, you in trouble. I learn it the hard way LOL I started using this on them, " WOW " you know a lot about meat, you ought to put in a app here, BUT you would still have to take a meat cutting course like I did for two years. Then would sell them something because, " AS YOU KNOW this is the best you can get. WORKED FOR ME ( wink ) "
Masteryeti, you sound like the old man here at age 17 to 22 LOL being young, women use to ask me " can you cut meat ? " My reply was, " yes madam, 4 ways, long, deep, wide, and OFTEN !! Never got told on to a manager BUT did make some lunch breaks fun ( wink )
