Memorial Day

Memorial Day is this weekend and sales will be good. I talked to a few of our other Meat managers at some of our other stores and they don't seem to care that its a holiday weekend. To me, whether its Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day, its big to me. Its a time to make your cases look extra good, cut extra, make some big sales, and work my a#* off. I know when I come in and see my numbers, it'll be worth it.

I'll be loading the case with strips, ground chuck, wild alaskan coho and brats! I imagine I'll move a ton of ribeyes and hot dogs too.

this was the week I use to like to load my case with ALL cook out pork items, big gross items.  good time for rib ends and loin ends to come into play as country style ribs or backbone, use to pay 79 or 89 cents a lb for them and push the country ribs at $1.59 lb

Well its started. The weekend is here, and time to roll up our sleeves and cut, cut, cut, and then cut some more. I always like it when some of my customers come up to me while on a Saturday ( holiday) and ask me, why are you working? I thought you'd be off. That always gives me a chuckle.
