I plan to be up to my monkey brow in short loins all day. Come home drink a shot and beer and probably be in bed by dark!!! Gotta love the overtime! Looking at a 64 hour paycheck this week!

Well due to a compressor being out in the Meat room and meat cooler, I'll be in bright and early. Probably work to 3 or 4. Head home and RELAX.

Staying home today and resting up. Got some much needed OT at some of our other stores. That doesnt happen often, but might be my last day off for a couple weeks. But the money will be good! Happy 4th everyone!

how do you guys get so lucky with this OT. last 3 companies i worked for warned heavy about OT. You would be afraid they would string you up for 15 minutes over. I used to get tons of OT before i moved to Va and the ecomony tanked. Now everywhere i go there are very strict rules about OT.

fdarn: Blame it on the hiring freeze. It costs too much to hire new people, so they just work us old dogs into the ground. We've gone through that whole "don't work one minute over" episode, but now we're just so rocking busy, nobody cares. The bank account is loving it. The back and shoulder and feet, not so much...

Its a real rarity for OT at my company too. Im only alowwed 38 hours a week but some stores are short and need cutters bad so Im seizing the oppurity while I have it! LOL Economy is just as bad here also no one is getting rich thats for sure!

If you're getting OT pay consider yourselves lucky. We've really clamped down on the OT but we've had rocking sales so a little OT for the cutters is okay. I'm talking 1-4 hours per 2 week pay period.

Jesus! That's worse than a sweat shop! What is your labor margin? It sounds like it's about 7-8 %. One major problem with letting anyone work this way is it increases the probability of on-site injuries. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

That's pretty damn good! I'd work that way too for that in wages.
