too long.. but can he tie a whole roast with one continuous length. a guy who trained me when i was a greenhorn could, he also could tie while still holding a knife and trim the ends as he went, damn fast too.

I'd love to actually see him tie those weenie knots on a prime rib. Sounds good and all, but in practice, this video fails. Horribly. A towel is knot a piece of meat. biggrin

And when tieing a bone-in roast, it is better to tie over part of the bone so you can cut it and it remain tied. Particularly prime ribs. Ideal for service cases displaying a whole rib roast where a customer only wants x amount of bones. You can replace what's left and knot have to retie it. evileye

I'm going know...now...yep.

I watched this video with my wife. I started laughing when he was making the knots. My wife asked "What are you laughing at?" I said "That ain't how you tie a roast!". She just looked at me and said "Well at least HE can fold a towel. You can't even do that!" I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of my chair!

I never learned the "proper" way to tie a roast. However, I did teach my self a very effective way to get the job done, quick and tight.

Maybe I'll get out a towel and make a video.
