shop lifters removing tags?

Has this ever happened to you.  you come in the morning and see tags missing from the lower priced meat?  I used to see it all the time they would some how get the tags off the cheaper stuff and stick it over the expensive stuff and say themselves a bunch of money.  I get so pissed when this happens I always thought it should be a store wide effort to catch this kind thing meaning the cashiers need to pay attention to what they are ringing up they should now that a pack of ribeyes is going to be around 25.00 not 5 dollars.  when i bring this to the attention of the bosses they usually just shrug..OH WELL...  If i was the boss i would take it alot more seriously and try to work out some kind of plan to catching this sort of thing.  when ever i see someone hanging around the meat case too long I know they are up to something so i alert the boss .  sometimes he just doesn't care.

RE: shop lifters removing tags?

our company has the yellow bib on the price labels that shows the sale price. it isnt that hard to take that bib and put it on a differernt pacakge of meat and then get it for free because it rings up at the register wrong......the same happens with markdown labels and the marked down meat section
