During my apprenticship I was driving up to 1 1/2 hours to work. They told me how bad do you realy want it. Then when I got My promotion to Department Manager it was an hour Drive. Now im only 20 min so I guess it all worked out. It realy sucked when gas was almost $5.00 a gallon a few years ago, gotta love Southern California....

RE: Commutes

At one time in Atlanta in the 70's I had a 1 hour and 20 min drive.

the reason I started back running markets again was because of the meds my wife has to take. The insurance she had didn't pay for all the ones she had to have. I took a market in Atlanta again 11 years ago, I drove right at 2 hours each way if I didn't get caught in Atlanta traffic. I work there for about 13 months

I have 2 routes - one is 20 miles and the other is 27. The 27 mile route always takes 35 min door to door, but the 20 mile route can take anywhere from 18 min to 1 1/2 hours depending on traffic.

3 miles, 8 minutes. 2 stop signs and 2 stop lights. For some reason the drive home seems so much faster even tho I drive the same route

RE: Commutes

in DC I drove 67 miles
that meant a 1 hour ride to work in the AM
and a 2 hour ride home
unless it was Friday then it was 3-4

that last snow storm in January it took me 8 1/2 hours to go 17 miles
