Like I wrote in the previous post, this is a different Leon. Not THE Leon. Not the APCowboy Leon. But I just had to take these pics when I saw that sign. The meat looks surprisingly fresh. Well maybe not a surprise. With a name like Leon, it HAS to be good, LOL. This is a nice little counter. A nice surprise to see at a small town gas station market. It's just that usually when I see tiny conventional counters in tiny towns, the meat is dried and/or discolored badly. I've seen some real bad ones. For example earlier the same day, at out destination, Salvation Mountain in Niland, there was a grocery store, the ONLY grocery store. They had a counter that had nothing particularly edible looking. Only a few items, all bad. Not their fault. Just no business. I'd say don't even bother trying to sell meat. Or leave it in the cryovac and cut it on demand.
BTW, I see the pictures are blurry. Maybe Imageshack isn't a great host, or maybe I shouldn't have had Imageshack resize them. Anyway, the originals are very clear and I can/will e-mail them to anyone whow wants them.
