Goat meat is popular on the east side of San Jose (I live and work in San Jose west side). I used to work at the Evergreen store in the east side and we sold a lot of goat. Almost every day. It was sold it in quarters only. You couldn't buy just a pound. It seemed that it was purchased mostly by people from India or middle east. This was only 3 years ago and nothing's changed. Goat is still sold in the east side. I see piles of it at Lion Market. We have some in our freezer right now, but we don't display it or advertise that we have it. I think people ask for it about twice per year.
