No kind of a staycation. Putting my house for sale and getting some stuff finished then I may take my younger two kids camping and get some fishing in. But just glad to unplug from work for a week!

Bigbeef you were managing the meat dept. at harris teeter a couple weeks ago weren't you? now you are going to a store that is closed on holidays thats big a change isn't it? are you still going to manage or are you going just cut there? is it a mom and pop or a chain? After I left Giant I said I am never going to work for a big chain store again. I have been alot happier at smaller stores they seem to appreciate their good workers more and there isn't all that corporate bull you have to through to get things done. You get to know the top guy personally. Well anyway good luck with the new gig.

fdarn I came back to Wisconsin after being in VA working for HT for 16 months without my wife and kids. We couldn't sell the house in WI so I decided to come home

This is a small chain, 9 stores, that is growing fast. I was brought in to do some special projects for them that I am not 100% sure of yet

For right now I am cutting meat and helping turn a meat dept of theirs around with sanitation and customer service

What is everyone pushing for Fathers Day Weekend

wow thats alot like my situation...we moved to charlottesville, VA 6 years ago from michigan so she could start her career as a school teacher..but its so expensive there i came back to michigan last november to find work and get us moved back here....i haven't seen my wife since january. she is going to stay in VA for another year to keep teaching cuz no teaching jobs in michigan opened up like we hoped. but when she comes up in august to visit i hope to convince her to just leave her job and go back to school to get her Phd cuz i found a good job here and i can support us ..its alot cheaper in michigan then Va as i am sure you noticed by living in va. thats why we wanted to come home ...we were just scraping by in Va even though we were both working full time. by the way we couldn't sell our house in michigan either even though we had it on the market for 3 years.  we were lucky to find some good tenents to rent it though.

I lived in Front Royal VA and it wasn't anymore expensive then it is here in WI
I loved my job and the area and if we can sell this house anytime in the near future I will return to Harris Teeter
That was my dream job with a company that knew how to take care of it's employees
