Power Outages!

Anyone else experience power outages due to last nights storms. I got the call at 6:20 that the power had been off since 3am and all the cases were pulled. Got in there 7 and started dryice to the coolers. Then it came on at 9. Two call offs and total maddness trying to get customers what they want and put the cases away. We didnt start cutting and grinding tll 1pm. Our add changes tomorrow so it will be hell tomorrow too since were behind now... Anyway Im done venting now! Not to mention tomorrow is my 16th day sraight and I am going to have a very large drink on my day off thursday!! :)

We had several cases go down last Tues due to a main kicking off during the nite. Came in the next morning and found it. Emptied cases w/ trucks coming in all morning. Lost $7,000 store wide. Not a good sight. Did work a few extra hours to get caught up. Hope its a long time before that sort pf thing happens again.

Wow thats alot of loss! We only lost a few grinds and misc. Night crew was there and bakery and got it pulled into the cooler and them we use dry ice blocks.
The temps held great with it. This has happened so much Im thinking some kind of generator woold be better than the work we do to pull it all and the cost of dry ice.

Most of what we lost that night was dairy, produce and some deli. I had a little over a grand in my meat dept. Insurance picked up the loss.
